    What is Study Circle code of ethics?

    Study Circle is committed to providing and maintaining safe and healthy environments conducive to learning and working for all. The code of Ethics lays out general rules for Study Circle staff, contractors, and volunteers for maintaining high standards of professional service towards students and colleagues. Study Circle teachers, staff, and volunteers are expected to:

    • Respect the need of others to work in an environment conducive to teaching and learning and working
    • Commit to act in the best interest of the students and the institute
    • Speak and act toward students with respect and dignity, and deals judiciously with them, always mindful of their individual rights and sensibilities
    • Show respect for student’s cultural background and personal value system
    • Respect the confidential nature of information concerning students and may give it only to authorized persons or agencies directly concerned with their welfare
    • Provide honest feedback in the form of positive praise and/or constructive suggestions to the student in a manner that will be beneficial to their overall learning
    • Will take responsibility for their own behaviour and work to resolve conflicts that may arise between themselves and a client/student
    • Practice and promote accuracy, honesty, and truthfulness
    • Strive to maintain excellence by continuing to improve their teaching skills and engage in applicable professional development activities
    • Understand that their relationship to the student is professional and not personal
    • Recognize that a privileged relationship with students exists and refrains from exploiting that relationship for material, ideological, or other advantage
    • Be willing to review with colleagues, students, and their parents/guardians the quality of service rendered by the teacher and the practices employed in discharging professional duties
    • Adhere to the provisions of the contract agreement
    • Neither apply for nor accept a position which is in conflict with the position at Study Circle
    • Share any concerns with the supervisor/Academic Director or Principal
    • Not make any unauthorized representations to outside bodies in the name of the Study Circle.

    If there are any concerns or complaints, should be immediately brought to the attention of Academic Director or Principal.

We will post any changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of changes).   • What is Study Circle’s Privacy Policy?

    Your privacy is of utmost importance to us and we respect it. Information collected: Study Circle only collects information that is pertinent to services that we provide to our clients. This information includes your personal information such as your name, contact information and student details, as well as web usage information, and payment and billing information. We assure you that your personal information will be:

    • kept absolutely confidential and will not be sold to any other party for any purpose except with your express consent or unless it is a legal requirement to do so
    • Used only by our company and our contractors to provide services to you
    • Used to aid in providing you services that you have requested from us such as the organization of tutoring sessions to you.

    Web usage information: We collect web usage information from our site visitors that may include IP addresses, browser type, basic IP information, referring pages, operating system used and date/time stamps. This information does not identify individual users and is used only for site administration, as well as for analysis of website usage and trends in order to improve services that we provide to you.

    Information security We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.

    We restrict access to personal information to our employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
